Traditional influencers are people like authors, musicians, filmmakers, etc. New influencers may also play in these mediums but they tend to use more independent channels and emerging technologies to create and distribute content. New influencers are bloggers, podcasters, video producers who use YouTube, social bookmarkers and others.
