It is with a great deal of excitement that I’m blogging about Feature Video – a new product innovation released this morning that allows PRWeb users to embed a video in their press release.  The way it works is relatively simple: you basically upload your video to a video sharing Web site like YouTube, Google Video, or Yahoo! Video; upload your news to PRWeb; and then using the management console, simply paste in the URL of your video and voila!  Your video will be embedded directly in the body of your release.

I want to give some serious props to the PRWeb development team and especially Al Castle, who did some serious coding and brainstorming to get this product feature together.  I’ve worked with a lot of development teams and these guys just rock.

I also want to give props to myself for working through the weekend right after our annual Users Conference (although I did make time to watch the final episode of the Sopranos, which I still have mixed feelings about).

I think this new innovation helps PRWeb stay at the forefront of new media distribution.  I’m hoping some readers will let me know their thoughts on the development.

I’ve been working with some high-profile PRWeb customers over the past month to test the feature and I think the results have been pretty impressive.

At any rate, here are some links to more stuff:
