Boy, I have to give it to Shel Holtz: This guy has some cojones.   The SNCR annual event is right around the corner and he is compelling his blog users to register for the event through the SCNR Web site despite his close ties to Ragan.  Then again, Ragan is going to get paid regardless. 

I attended the SNCR event up in Boston last fall and found it well worthwhile.  Their executive director, Jen McClure, has a real academic lean and is doing some amazing work along with the rest of the SNCR board. 

For anyone interested in learning more about open media, this is the event of the year.   And to top it all off, it is in Vegas!  You can go blow all your cash at the casinos and then learn how to blog about it.
